Central Japan Railway Company (JR Central) is a leading railway operator in Japan's Chūbu region, established in 1987. Headquartered in Nagoya, Aichi Prefecture, JR Central is renowned for operating the Tōkaidō Shinkansen, the world's busiest high-speed rail line connecting Tokyo, Nagoya, and Osaka.
